Beijing Olympic sculptures on exhibition in London

An exhibition of sculptures for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games opened at the London City Hall on Feb. 9. Its purpose is to convey the Chinese people's understanding and pursuit of the Olympic ideal to the world.The exhibition, which will close on Feb. 23, features 40 works, including "Quafoo Chasing After The Sun" and "Sports in Undeveloped Areas".BOCOG received more than 3,000 Olympic-themed sculptures from over 80 countries and regions, from which 110 were set aside for the London city government, which in turn selected 40 works for the exhibition, said Liu Yuzhu, vice-director of BOCOG Cultural Activities Department.http://en.beijing2008.cn/74/93/article214019374.shtml
